Aftershokz Trekz Bluetooth Headphones
The weather is finally warming up – which means that it is officially the time of year when it’s fun to run outside instead of on a treadmill. Through the years I’ve had a lot of trouble with headphones – my ears are tiny and any type of headphones I’ve tried always fall out, or they are painful. Then, I found these headphones (referred by a friend!) that don’t actually go in your ear. You hear the music through bone conduction (sounds really weird, but it really works). The headphones sit on the bone right in front of your ear and you can hear the music perfectly. The other cool feature is that you can actually hear everything else that’s going on around you (mostly for people who run outside so you can hear cars and such).
I purchased the headphones a few months ago, so I hadn’t run outside yet. I actually used them for skiing this winter and it was one of the best gadgets I’ve purchased by far. They were awesome while on the lift and skiing down the mountain, my dad is a ski instructor so he gives me instruction most of the way down the mountain and normally I could barely hear him (sorry, dad!!). This season was one of the best because I could still hear everything and still listen to music and have the ability to zone out if I wanted to. They weren’t painful, they didn’t move, and I could talk on the lift without screaming at the person next to me.
I finally ran outside with them today and they were just as great, if not better. I’ve ALWAYS had problems while running and this was the first time that I did not fidget and did not get frustrated with my music.
I also ended up buying my dad a pair for skiing as well. He started using them for biking, doing work around the house, etc. If anyone has any questions or needs help, please leave a comment and I will be glad to help! They were pretty easy pair with your phone as well (it even has multi-point pairing, so if you are a nerd like me and have two phones it can pair to both of them at the same time!)
I know it is a strange concept – the headphones that don’t go in your ear but you can hear the music perfectly. Doesn’t quite make sense until you try them.
My dad put it perfectly: Using the trekz headphones is like talking in a bar with your friends and you can hear the music in the background. I hope that helps explain how it feels wearing the headphones! If not, then I would suggest purchasing to try it out for yourself – they have a great return policy if you really don’t like them.
I am a huge fan of these headphones and would recommend to anyone who is active!
